Summer Clothing & Shoes Drive

Over the past year, thousands of migrant families have been bussed from the Southern Border to the District of Columbia. Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Washington D.C. is providing 372 families (comprised of over 1,300 people) of newly arrived migrants with basic necessities and shelter. Half of these people are children. Many families arrived in D.C. with only the clothes on their backs and very few other personal belongings. As the seasons rapidly transition to summer, there is an obvious need we can all help to address: access to summer clothing and shoes. We will be collecting donations at St. Joseph’s and we need only two volunteers with a car to drop off all the donations on June 17th, from 10am-2pm at Anchor Mental Health.
